
Our Status
The Asafy association is a non-profit organization founded on the values of solidarity, equity, and education. Its primary objective is to offer disadvantaged children a better future through concrete and sustainable actions. Title I – NAME – FORM – HEAD OFFICE – DURATION
- An Association called “Association Asafy” has been created in Madagascar « Association Asafy » governed by Ordinance No. 60.133 of October 3, 1960. « Association Asafy » “Association Asafy” carries out its activities on a voluntary basis.
- The Headquarters, currently located at Lot VL 49 Ampamantanana Andronodra, Antananarivo – 101 – may be transferred to any other location upon decision of the General Assembly.
- The duration of « Association Asafy » of “Association Asafy” is unlimited except in the event of dissolution provided for by the Law and this Statute.
Title II – PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Asafy sets the following objectives:
- Participate in the development and spiritual, intellectual and physical growth of children,
- Being able to educate children and support them in their studies,
- Give children the hope of going back to school like all the children in the world,
- Helping parents, especially single mothers,
- Support and monitoring of family health,
- Training of those who have dropped out of school,
- Monitoring for children's financial independence,
- Introducing children and young people to sports,
- Tracking their knowledge of sexuality: WAR against sexual predators
- The « Association Asafy » does not pursue any profit motive.
- It undertakes to take all necessary measures to achieve its objectives, and to this end, to assume all the prerogatives recognized by the morality of the person.
Title III – MEMBERSHIP – RESIGNATION – DISMISSAL OF MEMBERS
Membership is open to boys and girls over the age of 18.
The fee is set at 500 Ariary per month, per member.
Membership is lost through resignation, death or dismissal, the procedures for which are stipulated in the Internal Regulations.
Title IV – RULES OF ORGANIZATION
The ordinary general meeting includes all members of the association, regardless of their capacity.
It meets annually in January.
At least two weeks before the set date, the members of the association are convened by the secretary.
Decisions are taken by a majority vote of the members present or represented.
All deliberations are taken by a show of hands.
- If necessary, or at the request of a quarter of the members, the president may call an Extraordinary General Meeting.
- The convening procedures are the same as for the Ordinary General Meeting.
Decisions are taken by a majority of members. - The association is governed by a board of six members elected for 3 years by the General Assembly.
Members are eligible for re-election. The board of directors meets at least once every six months, at the call of the president, or at the request of a quarter of its members.
Decisions are taken by a majority vote; in the event of a tie, the president's vote is decisive.
- The General Assembly has the following responsibilities :
- the adoption or modification of the Statutes and Internal Regulations;
- the definition of the Association's objectives and methods of intervention;
- the election of the Members of the Board of Directors;
- the adoption of programs and approval of budgets;
- The administration of « Association Asafy » is ensured by the Board of Directors, responsible to the General Assembly. It assumes the following functions and powers :
- ensure the proper management of assets and the rational administration of the Association;
- ensure the sustainability and quality of the Association's services;
- provide general guidelines;
- verify that any proposed amendment to the Internal Regulations complies with the Statutes.

TITLE V – RESOURCES
Les ressources de « Association Asafy » sont autorisées par les lois en vigueur. Les ressources proviennent : des droits d’adhésion, des cotisations de ses membres actifs ou des sommes au moyen desquels ces cotisations ont été rédimées, des donations et toutes autres ressources licites des financements, dont les fruits de ses activités.
Accounting must be kept in accordance with generally accepted financial principles described in the internal regulations and internal procedures manuals of the Asafy Association.
Title VI – ARBITRATION
Any dispute between two or more Members of "Association Asafy", or any disputes relating to the application of the Statutes and Regulations will be settled first amicably, then by hierarchical means and finally by legal means.
TITLE VII – AMENDMENTS TO THE ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION AND DISSOLUTION
- Amendments to the Statutes and the dissolution of “Association Asafy” may only be made by decision of a General Meeting convened specifically for this purpose.
- The procedures for amendments and dissolution are described in the internal regulations.
- If dissolution is decided and after payment of liabilities, the assets will be transferred to an Association whose activities are closest to the purpose for which the Association was created.
- The assets of the dissolved Association shall not, under any circumstances, be shared among the Members.
TITLE VIII – MISCELLANEOUS
These Statutes were discussed and adopted in plenary session, in accordance with Ordinance No. 60.133 of October 3, 1960 relating to the special regime of Associations, at the Constitutive General Meeting held on November 19, 2020.
