The history of the Asafy association
Since our beginnings, we have always believed that a simple gesture of solidarity can transform lives. Discover how Asafy's story was born from a heartfelt impulse and a deep commitment to underprivileged children in Madagascar.

A meeting, a commitment, a mission
In 2013, Saotra and Nanja met and discovered they shared a passion: helping their community and making a lasting difference in the lives of underprivileged children. Coming from a modest background, they grew up watching their loved ones struggle to access education and essential resources.
Married for seven years and parents of two children, they live in the neighborhood where Saotra grew up. With his childhood memories, Saotra has maintained strong ties with friends whose families live in precarious conditions. Aware of the difficulties they are going through, he decides to help them by offering them opportunities for small jobs for a symbolic remuneration, thus allowing them to provide support to their loved ones.
This simple gesture of solidarity quickly took on unexpected proportions.

The beginnings of an educational project
The importance of education as a lever for transformation
What started as a one-off aid quickly turned into a real educational project. Faced with the realization that many children in the neighborhood had academic difficulties and lacked support in their learning, Saotra and Nanja spontaneously began to give them reading, grammar and French language lessons.
The results were immediate: the children came back every day with enthusiasm, and some even invited their friends. This enthusiasm was a trigger for the couple, who understood that their commitment could have a real impact on the future of these young people.

The birth of Asafy: a response to growing needs
- Schooling : ensuring quality educational monitoring, with support courses and school supplies ;
- Ell-being and health : : providing medical support and access to care to ensure the health of children ;
- Personal development : enabling young people to develop their potential through cultural and sporting activities.
Today, Asafy supports more than 40 children and 20 families in great need, providing them with resources and opportunities they would never have been able to obtain otherwise.
A commitment that is strengthened through solidarity
The impact of digital and social networks
The use of social media marked a turning point for Asafy. Thanks to increased visibility, the association was able to raise awareness of its cause among a wide audience and receive donations in kind: clothing, school supplies, toys and medicines. This external support made it possible to intensify the actions carried out on the ground and offer more comprehensive assistance to beneficiary families.
An ambitious future for the children of Madagascar
Today, Asafy continues to grow, driven by the love, determination and support of its partners and volunteers. The association's mission does not stop there:
- Develop training programs to strengthen family autonomy and ensure long-term stability;
- Create educational infrastructure to improve access to education in remote areas;
- Expand its network of partners to ensure the sustainability of the actions undertaken.
Every child helped is a victory, every family supported is a step towards a better future. Asafy pursues its mission with conviction and invites everyone to become an actor of change.
