Who are we ?
Driven by solidarity, Saotra and Nanja founded ASAFY. Our mission: to offer a better future to children and families in Madagascar. Since 2018, we have been taking concrete action by providing them with vital resources and promoting their education. Together, we are building a world where every child has the chance to succeed.
What does “Asafy” mean?
ASAFY is more than just a name. It’s a promise. In the local language, it means “a complementary piece.” And that’s exactly what we want to be for the children and families we support. We don’t seek to replace, but to add what’s missing: a hot meal, a helping hand at school, a word of encouragement. Our mission is to build, together, a future where education, values, and autonomy are the keys to success.
Our Story
En 2013, Saotra et Nanja se rencontrent, partageant le rêve de faire une différence. Leur engagement commence par des petites actions de solidarité dans leur quartier. En 2018, ASAFY voit le jour pour répondre aux besoins croissants des enfants défavorisés. Aujourd’hui, ASAFY soutient 20 familles et 40 enfants à Madagascar, en leur apportant éducation, soins de santé et soutien psychologique.
Our ambition
We aim for the complete development of children: spiritual, intellectual and physical. By ensuring quality schooling and medical monitoring, we offer each child the tools to succeed and become an independent adult. ASAFY is also committed to strengthening the autonomy of families through income-generating projects, thus guaranteeing the sustainability of our action.
Our actions and achievements
ASAFY operates in four major areas essential to the development of children: nutrition, schooling, infrastructure and health.
Since 2018, ASAFY has enabled many children to continue their education and benefit from health care. We have also built sustainable infrastructure in disadvantaged neighborhoods, providing better access to drinking water and decent sanitary conditions.
